Cabin Pond

Situated directly below Ed’s Cabin and the Tower of Tomorrow are a series of ponds dug out by Ed Lowe himself with the help of Ol’ Yeller, his trusty bulldozer. Quite picturesque in all seasons, these ponds serve as a frequently visited location by retreat guests during reflective walks.

At one time Ed had acquired a variety of African geese that called this spot home. Although these birds have since passed away, many other types of wild birds and fish find refuge here in addition to numerous frogs and turtles.

For those interested in fishing the foundation keeps equipment on hand for just that purpose in the Sugar Shack, located on the south shore of the main body. There’s also a rowboat available for showing off your captain credentials on the water.
