Hassle free retreat planning

Leaders of entrepreneurial peer groups know all too well the headaches involved in planning a retreat. You must not only consider cost, location and lodging, but also determine the right content for your group — and who should lead the sessions. If you’re in charge of next year’s outing, consider what an Edward Lowe Foundation retreat offers your group: relevant, unique curriculum and no-hassle retreat planning.

*Note: Edward Lowe Foundation leadership retreats are exclusively for the owner, president or CEO of a growth-oriented second-stage company.

Leaders of entrepreneurial peer groups know all too well the headaches involved in planning a retreat. You must not only consider cost and location, but also determine the right content for your group — and who should lead the sessions.

If you’re in charge of this year’s outing, consider what an Edward Lowe Foundation retreat offers your group.

Unique curriculum and setting: The foundation conducts a series of programs designed specifically for leaders of second—stage companies — those that have moved beyond the startup phase and are focused on growth rather than survival. In addition, we hold retreats for leaders of entrepreneur support organizations.

Retreats take place at Big Rock Valley, our 2,600-acre campus in southwest Michigan. Here, visitors will find a lush backdrop of forest, streams, ponds and prairies. Taking advantage of this unusual setting, many activities are held outdoors and guests are able to hike, bike and boat in their free time.

No-hassle retreat planning: We offer several proven programs, but also have the flexibility to customize the agenda for your group as needed. Professional facilitators guide the learning process, keeping participants on track and ensuring the kind of balanced conversations that lead to new ideas and insights.

The typical retreat spans three days and two nights; lodging and all meals are included in retreat fees. Our online payment process eliminates your need to collect fees from group members either before or after the retreat. (Fees are significantly discounted for peer groups of our alliance partners.)

“Organizing this retreat was one-stop shopping: I didn’t have to negotiate the price or worry about lodging. The foundation already had a curriculum and facilitators in place, so I saved hours and hours by not needing to develop content — or find someone to present it. And because the foundation specializes in second-stage companies, the content was relevant and the facilitators skilled at understanding the issues my group was facing. It was a great bonding experience; as a result, my group is operating at a new level.”
