Searching for office space? Ask your mailman. Under the right circumstances, you may find a great deal.

One company was looking for about 4,000 square feet of space — half office, half warehouse. The owner went to an office complex one day, tracked down the letter carrier and explained what he was looking for. "Any ideas?" he asked.

The mailman listed about a dozen spaces.

That company now rents a spacious facility at a bargain price in an out-of-the-way location.
