Entrepreneur in Residence

This by-invitation retreat program enables second-stagers  to unplug from their businesses and spend three days at Big Rock Valley to recharge and reflect on important issues in their personal and professional lives.

Invest in yourself!

Our Entrepreneur-in-Residence program gives second-stage business owners a rare opportunity to hit the pause button and reflect on both themselves and their companies.

Designed for individuals, this three-day, two-night retreat enables you to step back, take stock and recharge in Big Rock Valley’s inspirational setting, which is comprised of 2,000 acres of woodlands, prairies, ponds and streams. The objective is to identify and address challenging issues in your professional and personal life — and return as a better version of yourself.

Location — Big Rock Valley, about 3.5 miles north of Cassopolis, Michigan, at 58220 Decatur Road.

What to expect — Although loosely structured, this is a learning event, not a vacation, so no family or friends may accompany you. Prior to your stay, one of our team members will contact you to discuss specific issues you wish to work on, and a workbook will provide reflection exercises. We will also schedule a follow-up call to discuss your outcomes and how you plan to move forward.

Meals and lodgings — Guests stay at one of our renovated farmhouses. Although equipped with modern conveniences, much of these buildings’ original construction has been preserved. Meals, the handiwork of Chef José Ruiz and his amazing team, are guaranteed to be a white-glove experience.

Cost and contact — EIR retreat fees are $1,200, which help cover some of our expenses. For more information, contact Robin Joye.
